Hwa-Ro Big Stone Grill, Korean Restaurant, Metrowalk, Pasig

Hwa-Ro Big Stone Grill Korean Restaurant
Metrowalk, Pasig City
Their Menu
You have to get a minimum of  two orders of each
item on the menu in order to be able to use the big stone grill.
***
First thing I noticed was the big screen where
they showed performances of K-pop stars.
Quite entertaining specially at night when the
beer or soju drinkers spend their late nights here
to unwind and get drunk.
Pictures or posters of Korean food are all over the
walls of the restaurant.
***
They first served a simple salad.
Then the different banchan / Korean appetizers were
brought to the table one after the other.
Kimcheeeeee :)
Korean Pancakes
This is uncooked beaten eggs.
Placed on the grill to cook to your liking or
preference... medium well or well done.
The Hot Pot. Soup good for the three of us.
The Big Stone Grill
Pork for grilling with some vegetables
Pork cut into bite size pieces.
Lettuce, and condiments to wrap the grilled
pork with.
Water and Steamed Rice
***
This is our first time to eat here and won't be our last.
Kimcheeeeee!  Cheers!!!!!!!!

Golden Pavilion, Fontana, Clark, Pampanga

Golden Pavillion at Fontana
***
I ordered the Chinese Set Menu at Golden Pavilion,
even if the waiter discouraged me from choosing it.
He said it might be too spicy for my taste.
Hmmm...  really! He said the magic word, "Spicy!"
Everyone at the table love spicy except me.
Hahaha!
Some kind of corn soup... not spicy. :)
Extremely hot vegetables!
It's the fried rice that came with the Set Menu.
I told the waiter to replace with Yang Chow,
but he said, "Pasensiya na po, hindi napalitan ng cook."
I just ignored him and ignored him forever after this.
Pancit ... no shrimps in this noodle dish.
Unlike the one we ordered at King Bee, which had
really plump shrimps.  This one had NONE.
Eggplant with Ground Pork
Hubby and Son loved this dish. Hubby actually ate vegetables!
Fish Fillet & Broccoli
This was supposed to be Shrimps with Broccoli.
Hmmm .... maybe the kitchen didn't have shrimps
and used cream dory.  Son and Hubby never eat
cream dory at home but this time they did.
They said it had no aftertaste and had no
"fishy-ness". Maybe they were really hungry.
Oh but they do have shrimps...  There's Camaron Rebosado.
Mango, Pomelo & Mini Sago
A bit different from the usual Mango Sago dessert served in most
Chinese restaurants.  The pomelo or suha added a teeny weeny
bitter aftertaste to this all-too-common Chinese sweet ending.

This Set Menu costs Php 3888 ++ ... Hubby paid Php 4500.
When you use coupons, they don't give back change.
***
Kris, Elli, Gale and Son
Kebong is the only one missing.
They are Son's best "band-ies"... (hehe imbento)
... band mates.
Just have to eat at Fontana's restaurants.
Sayang naman ang food coupons.
But next time,  I will order ala carte and not get
the Set Menu.  We weren't given membership
discounts since the set meal was a promo.
Oh well ... there will always be a next time!

Ganso-Shabuway, Japanese Style Hot Pot, Rockwell

Ganso-Shabuway
Japanese Style Hot Pot
USDA Choice Angus Set / Php 450
(with unlimited rice)
Half & Half - Traditional Seaweed Broth
and Original Spicy Miso Broth
Son had the spicy broth and he said it tasted like kimchi.
.  I had the traditional seaweed broth, which had no taste at all.
I requested for soy sauce and sugar to flavor it,
then added lots of sesame oil... still, it didn't taste good.
The more affordable buffet restaurants that we go to
(Ho Galbi, Tong Yang and Sambokojin), where you can
have unlimited food choices, have more flavorful soups
and broths for their hot pots.
Tori Katsudon / Php 248
with a small bowl of that traditional seaweed broth,
some veggies, tofu and a slice of beef.
Son was too full to order dessert or coffee.
We would still go back to this place because
my Son just loves burning his tongue with those
steaming boiling super HOT pots.

I'll keep them in my heart and never let these boys go...

Let it go, Betsy Clark.
You'll enjoy it more when you see it fly.
You won't get it back.
But the memory will forever remain.
... in your heart.

Sometimes, you refuse to let friendship run its course.
People move away.  People drift apart. People die.
... and you, Betsy Clark, always try to hang on.
By forcing a connection, you will only do yourself harm.
Remember to love those who love you back.
But isn't it so much better if you, Betsy Clark,
love back those who love you?
***
If they remember to call you...
... it's because you belong in their hearts.
It used to be just phone calls.
Now, there are more ways to stay connected.
Yet, they all seem too busy.
Some of them forgot you last Christmas.
You are not in their Christmas list anymore.
Some call only when they need something.
Betsy Clark, you should have gotten used to that.
You know that you can't take that against them.
... because that is who they are, and you are just someone
who's always available, always ready to listen,
and more than willing to help.
So, what else is new?

Keep a safe distance. Set  limits.
... or  Hubby might just sue again in court.
He will never again allow anyone to use
friendship and take advantage of
 your kindness and generosity.

Let them go. Set them free, Betsy Clark.
... and always be happy!

Talkin' to myself and feelin' old
Sometimes I'd like to quit
Nothing ever seems to fit
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.
What I've got they used to call the blues
Nothin' is really wrong
Feelin' like I don't belong
Walkin' around
Some kind of lonely clown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.
Funny but it seems I always wind up here
with you
Nice to know somebody loves me
Funny but it seems that it's the only thing to do
Run and find the one who loves me.
What I feel has come and gone before
No need to talk it out
We know what it's all about
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.
***
.... but I really love rainy days and I love Mondays too.
It's just that the words in this song  kinda
describe how I feel today, which by the way is a Wednesday.
So, where did I run to?
What did I do? .. Never mind where and what I did.
But with whom?  You know them.
They love me most and I love them back.
I'll keep them in my heart and never let these boys go.
