We loved the cheesecakes at Ace Water Spa!

Son & I loved the cheesecakes at Ace Water Spa!
Oreo Cheesecake
New York Cheesecake
***
I didn't expect to find such rich creamy delicious
cheesecakes at a Water Spa's Restaurant.
They are so much better than the ones sold from
the French bakery in the malls.
***
Coffee Mocha Frappuccino  ...
was alright, but nothing compares to the ones
from the American coffee shop franchise.
***
Halo-halo ... this is the Hubby's favorite dessert.
We got two of these for sharing.
I have always wanted to eat at the buffet here at Ace,
but actually never did.  Will try it sometime with
my sister in law, probably when school starts,
when the kids aren't all over us... or when
there is no new restaurant around the corner,
or... whenever.....

Size Matters ...

Size Matters ... I'm talking about burgers huh!!!
What else could I be talking about? hmmmm....
***
Size Matters, G/F, D'Ace Plaza
Brixton St., Kapitolyo, Pasig City
***
Just look at those toppings!
Two burger patties... with lettuce sticking out like
a big tongue.  Saying.... "beh! This is mine!"
Probably their classic, more demure burger.
I didn't get to read the menu.
I just let the kids order what they wanted.
BTW, their servings may be big
but no fries or onion rings to go with the burgers.
You have to get a separate order for these precious fries.
The sausage platter had some fries
which were enough for me.
The Hubby got the bratwurst, foot-long sausage.
The chicken wings, also the Hubby's favorite.
Hot, Spicy, Crispy Chicken Wings.
Hubby's, Son's & Nephew's
***
Cute!!!  Salt & Pepper Shakers
***
Verdict ... The grown up kids liked their burgers.
Better daw than the ones at the carwash.

I like the burgers at the carwash.
Why? because I didn't taste the burgers here...
because their fries are thick & crunchy.
because they have three kinds of dressings or sauces
at the carwash...

But, I'd surely go back to this place.
Better go after lunch or before 5pm,
since the place is really small and
can probably only accommodate 15 people
inside the air conditioned area.

Krung Thai, Marikiina Town Proper

Krung Thai Restaurant
***
Condiments
Pad Thai
Fried Spring Rolls
Set Meal ...
Tom Yum Soup
Dining Area
 Light Fixtures
Our drinks ...  I've forgotten what that green slush was
but the Hubby surely loved it.  We dined at Krung Thai
sometime late last year. after coming from the
Marikina Hall of Justice.
Some of you would know
why we were at court.  Right? Hahaha :)

I came to know about this restaurant after watching
two television shows from the KaPuso network
which featured Krung Thai restaurant.
It's a small, simple, modest, no-frills kind of place.
Located at the heart of the city, right beside the public market.
Food was alright, not 'authentically' Thai.
Flavors of the dishes have been adjusted
or modified to accommodate the locals' preferred level of
spiciness,  which I actually liked. However, the Hubby
had to add more of those hot chilies from their condiments.

Had a pleasant lunch at Krung Thai and didn't
spend a fortune, which is a good thing.
Will bring the Son and the travel buddies
but  they might just use up
all of the chilies or even ask for fresh labuyo
just to satisfy their fiery hot taste buds.

Victorino's, perfect for balikbayans

Victorino's is an Ilocano-Filipino restaurant
located in Quezon City,
This isn't my first time to dine here.
I was with the Hubby then,  shortly after its soft opening.
The owner or one of the owners, Madam Queenie Paras
was at the restaurant and I said hello to her. We were
schoolmates in high school.  She gave us a complimentary
bowl of Ilocos Cornik and even placed it on our table.
Such a gracious lady.
Lambanog, suka atbp for sale
***
Native Garlic for sale too.
There were more Ilocano products for sale but
I wasn't able to take photos of all of them.
Just one of several dining areas
***.
Ube Macapuno Cake by Heny Sison
Cake was alright, but it could use a bit more
cream filling, more macapuno balls, not strips.
I wish it to be more moist and have a  denser heavier
pound ube cake, with ube halaya frosting, instead
of this crumbly frosting that resembles a more
common ube cake from a local bakeshop.
Just my two cents ... I actually finished the cake.
Still a favorite flavor.
***
Poqui Poqui ... this is a must!
It could be served with Saltine Crackers.
Kare Kare ... sarap din nito!
Lengua Lengua ... tender juicy tasty...
ooopppsss ...ay teka... sounds like a hotdog commercial.
Really delish!

Hito Hito ... our balikbayan loved this crispy hito.

Haha Haha ... paulit ulit talaga?
Crispy Tadyang

Fun night with Dr Agnes, our balikabayan from SFO.
Sure good to see you again.

Chef Resty's Roastbeef at SM Marikina

Chef Resty's Roastbeef at SM Marikina
***
Roast beef  served with rice, potatoes & gravy
Roast beef on a bread bun
***
Chef Resty's Roastbeef opened a branch at SM
Marikina early this year, but it took me several
months to finally try their roast beef.
I'd say their roast beef  is flavorful and tender.
They've made their roast beef servings affordable
to students and people on a budget.

Just some unsolicited advice ... suggestion lang.
I hope you offer at least one hefty serving of
roast beef for those who like bigger meatier portions.
There are some who would be willing to pay more
for your tender juicy meaty roast beef.

Will surely be back.

Lydia's Lechon atbp

Lydia's Lechon
at iba pa ...
Yung nasa Marcos Hiway.

Lechon / Php 220
Karekare Solo / Php 135 (walang kanin na kasama)
Paksiw na Lechon Meal / Php 105 (may kasama na kanin)
Isang tasang Kanin / Php 30
Coke Zero / Php 42
Sprite / Php 42

Php 574 ang total ng binayaran namin.
***
Bakit kaya walng ulo?
Marahil ay may nakabili na ng isang
Lechon in Bilao. Kaya naman pala.
***
may kasamang seasoning. Naging
