Texas Roadhouse, Citrus Heights, California

Texas Roadhouse, Citrus Heights, CA
Texas Roadhouse just opened a branch at the BGC
the other day.  I would love to try their steaks here
and compare them with the real deal.
I've been to Texas Roadhouse a couple of times.
The first time was in Sacramento and the other
time was at Citrus Heights, which is nearer to
my sister's house in Roseville.
***
As one enters the restaurant, you'll see
this array of 20 oz rib eye steaks to choose from.
Oh my, oh dear ... each 20 oz steak can feed
the three of us and have some leftover, since I
don't really eat steak, as some of you already know!
Haha ... I should have brought a camel!
A jukebox...
... and some cacti.
Free appetizer for the VIP Club.
***
A barrel of peanuts.
The peanuts are now wrapped in small brown
paper bags.  They used to be just inside the barrel.
and you can grab all you can peanuts.
eat them and just drop all the peanut shells
on the floor of the waiting area... and even under your
dining table.  But our good manners prevented me
from doing so.  I placed the shells back in the bag.
heeheehee

Wanted to order this cactus blossom,
but I don't eat onion rings, so,
I just took a photo.
Alvin was so excited!

The Saddle
If in case you are celebrating your birthday,
the crew would bring this Saddle near your
table and ask you to sit on it, while they sing to
you their original birthday song.
Isn't that fun?  Yee-haw!!!
***
We called in earlier so we wouldn't have to wait for a table.
Before we got to our table, we had to wait for
a short while since the entire service crew,
receptionists, or the whole restaurant,
were singing along to some real Texas beat
and line dancing and were surely
having FUN!!! We wanted to join in..
haha ... it was that fun!!!
***
As we were led to our table, the server grabbed this
basket of freshly baked dinner rolls... the freshest,
softest, tastiest, creamiest dinner rolls.
You can ask for seconds, thirds and more.
Tall glasses, extra large drinks.

I miss eating here ...

I really miss eating Japanese food and eating here
at Yutaka Izakaya.
An assortment of sashimi on a bed of lettuce and radish
placed on top of some kind of tray made of bamboo.
Nice presentation.
I asked the server what they do with this bamboo tray,
which looked like a "raft", after being used as a
sashimi plate.  She said, "hinuhugasan po namin at
ginagamit ulit!"  .... Oh dear ....Sigh....
Buti na lang namiss ko kayo pati na rin itong mga
girls na "friendships" ko  or I would have walked
out.  Hay naku ... inhale exhale. That's what I learned
from the Biofeedback sessions I had at the Rehab clinic.
Miso Soup ...
is light, savory, earthy, a bit fishy and delish!
Kani Salad ... I don't really like this because of
too much mayo which makes the salad not "healthy".
Bubut has to have salad in her meals all the time.
Pork Tonkatsu ... Aya loves this.
If Alvin was with us, he'd order this but with the
Japanese curry sauce in it.
Japanese Fried Rice
Agedashi Tofu
Fried rice and Tofu are mine!!! No sharing!!!
***
Mixed Tempura for sharing.
Dr Aimee loves ebi tempura.
***
Thanks ladies for a fun afternoon at Yutaka Izakaya.

PS ... so sorry for not posting anything for more than
a month.  Took a short break, a "healing" vacation,
"do-nothing but eat, sleep and shop" kind of holiday.
