At Cyma & Parvati with mg bgff's

My best girl friends forever, Mitchie & Aya, are finally here
with me in Manila. 

 Last time the three of us were together was in June 2010, at the San Francisco

International Airport.  These two beautiful ladies were 'giggling' while they waited and watched

 me check in my luggage at the PAL counter.  They drove all the way to the airport 

just to say hello and goodbye to me and the Son.  Had an early flight from Chicago then,

and we were about to  take a longer flight back to Manila.

I brought my bgff's to my favorite places to eat, Cyma and Parvati in Trinoma.

It's a SURPRISE!!!

It was a potluck lunch for a balikbayan classmate, actually two balikbayans (Menchie & May), planned by DF Jannette. A couple of weeks ago, as Jannette & I were chatting on the phone, she mentioned that it has always been her 'dream' to be given a surprise birthday party. She said that Malu had a 50th birthday surprise party given by her sister;  Angela's children give her yearly surprise birthday parties; and that she (Jannette) gave me a party last year. She further added that I shouldn't surprise her this year. I thought and said, "I might not be alive next year. Ha ha ha!"  ..... I called Bubut to ask help in planning a party for Jannette next week. Bubut said to reserve a function room at Vikings and that we were going to wear black and white outfits, in honor of the birthday girl, Catwoman, with matching black balloons and 'cat masks'. Hmmmm ... that would be two parties in less than a week! The lazy 'old' me said, "why don't we just have the surprise party during the potluck lunch?" So that was what happened this afternoon.
