Tom Yum Shrimps and Calamari


Tom Yum Shrimps & Calamari
Ingredients:
!/2 k white shrimps
1/2 k calamari / squid rings
1 T canola oil
1 T. minced garlic
1 pack Tom Yum Paste
salt & pepper to taste

Procedure:
Heat the pan and add the canola oil.
Add the minced garlic.  Lower the setting of the heat.
Brown the garlic. Do not burn the garlic.
If burned, discard and start again.
Add the white shrimps, Remove from pan and set aside.
Add the calamari.  Let simmer for a few minutes.
Do not overcook or it will be tough.
Remove from pan and set aside.
Add 1/3 cup of water on the same pan,
then add contents of 1 packet of Tom Yum paste.
Once it starts to boil, use whisk to make smooth mixture.
Then, add the shrimps and squid to coat them with the sauce.
Arrange shrimps and calamari on a nice platter.
Put the remaining sauce on a small bowl.
Serve warm with steamed rice.
