The view on the right side of the foot bridge...
Bangkok's multi - colored taxicabs and rush hour traffic.
***
While there seems to be so much chaos on this side of the street,
the left side is totally the opposite.
People come here to pray. They offer flowers, incense, candles
and religious statues. There are vendors outside who sell garlands,
food, even lottery tickets. Some sell birds so that people can
release them and give the birds freedom, for a fee, of course.
The Erawan Dancers
***
Glad I had the chance to see this shrine and watch the dancers
from the top of the foot bridge. Just a glimpse of Thai culture
amidst the energetic confusion that surrounds this shrine.
