Duck & Buvette, 2/F Shangrila Plaza Mall

The Ice Cream Cart ... was the first thing that caught my
attention.  I just had to taste that French Ice Cream
Sandwich, which by the way is a thick slab of ice cream
in between a rectangular-shaped macaron.
Really YUMMMMMMYYYYY!
Priced at Php 190, a bit steep, but so worth it!

This Bread Basket costs Php 120.
They serve sourdough bread but I requested for a
baguette instead. Btw, the bread was served
on a clean plate and not in a basket.
(which I actually prefer!!!)
Ice cold water in a ceramic pitcher was placed
on our table the moment we sat down,
even before the menu was handed to us.

I've always wanted to eat here but there are just
so many new restaurants at the East Wing that I
have almost forgotten about this place.
Duck & Buvette used to be Cafe Provencal back in the day.

Dr. Bubut said that the duck confit served at D&B
is the best he's ever tasted and he is absolutely right!
The duck's thin crisp skin, fork-tender meat, served
with sweet and sour fettuccine-shaped cranberry carrots,
ratatouille rice, red wine sauce, fine salt, pickles
and mustard make this dish worthy of its price.

I would surely bring the Hubby next time since he loves
to eat duck all the time.  Son, (who only eats chicken breasts
because he says that the thighs and drumsticks have this weird gamy taste)
almost finished the duck confit. Really delish!
