The Doussant is a doughnut-croissant pastry.
It's half doughnut and half croissant.
It's actually a croissant, shaped and fried like a doughnut,
(if I am not mistaken.)

I read this article about the cronut a couple of months ago.
and have always wanted to try this novelty pastry.
Finally, I've had the pleasure of indulging on my first doussant, aka cronut,
this afternoon at Cafe Macaron.
Their doussant is flaky and crunchy as you take your first bite.
The filling which isn't too sweet, has very subtle flavors.
Only 200 pieces are made and baked fresh daily.

It's always a delightful blissful venue for some quiet relaxation.
