Complimentary Crispy Wanton Wrappers
***
Beef Wanton Noodle Soup / Php200.89
I remember they used to put these crispy wanton wrappers
and a raw egg on top of the noodles (back in the day).
My cup of Yang Chow Fried Rice / Php 75.89
Pork Siomai / Php102.68
Shanghai Buns / Php 89.29
This is how the Shanghai Bun looks like inside.
I thought it was like a regular asado siopao. NOT!
It has pork and vegetables inside. It didn't taste like siomai
in a bun or like asado in a bun. It had a distinct subtle
flavor of its own. Maybe I need to eat it again.
As some people say, "Di ko malasahan."... hee hee hee
Only because they want more food or in this case,
I want more Shanghai Buns !!!
Deep Fried Shrimp Balls / Php 102.68
At first I thought these were just some kind of ordinary squid ball
or shrimp flavored ball, like those sold on the streets. NOT again!
It is actually minced shrimps formed into a ball, dipped in batter,
probably rolled in wanton wrapper strips, then deep fried and
served with sweet and sour sauce. This was quite yummy
except for the 'aftertaste' of the wanton wrappers.

Son and I came from McKinley to apply for Korean visas,
then drove to Greenhills to buy some binders in Unimart.
The nearest place to eat from where we parked was Luk Yuen
and it's been quite a while since we last ate at Luk Yuen.
But I still like Causeway in Libis. Food tastes better,
richer, probably because of MSG. Hee hee hee
We still enjoyed our simple lunch and quite cheap too.
Only spent Php 640 and that's a great deal!
